Canadian violinist Christina Bouey is hailed by The New York Times for playing “beautifully” and praised by The New York Post for her “shimmering tone.” A Professional Studies graduate of Manhattan School of Music, she has been awarded prizes by the Canada Council of the Arts Instrument Bank, Hugo Kortchak Award for outstanding achievement in chamber music, Heida Hermann International, Canadian National Music Festival, Queens Concerto Competition, and the Balsam Duo Competition. Christina currently serves as Concertmaster of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and is a founding member of Ulysses String Quartet, Grand Prize-winner of the 2016 Fischoff Competition. She plays a 1900 Scarampella provided by the Canada Council Instrument Bank.
